On behalf of our Mildenhall based client we are looking for a MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER to join their team.
The MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER position is a critical role for our clients team and you will lead projects to develop new products, meeting the customers requirements.
The MECHANCIAL DESIGN ENGINEER will implement project according to project management principles, and maintain compliance to regulatory and quality systems.
The position will be a mix of 'hands on' engineering, along with computer based working, and the role would also include:
  • Create and develop tooling using tool room/workshop machinery
  • Generation and maintenance of project documentation to include detail drawings, spare parts lists, instructions of use
  • Provide project leadership including management of timeline and resources
  • Take a lead role in the conception, designing and testing of production tooling and fixtures
The qualifications and experience for the successful candidate would be:
  • Experience using a range of tool room/work shop machinery
  • Experience using a 3d CAD software package, such as SOLIDWORKS
  • Time served in a similar role in either Mechanical Engineer or Product Design
  • Confident and comfortable providing written and verbal updates to Senior Management
