The Quality Conformance Engineer Role

As a Quality Conformance Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the resolution of complex quality issues and continuous improvement projects. Your primary focus will be on setting measurement standards, identifying and facilitating improvements to increase process performance, product adherence to standards, and the reliability and repeatability of processes.

You will be instrumental in ensuring the full quality industrialization of major modifications, synchronized targeted embodiment points, incremental developments, and major industrial transfers to enable serial manufacture at current and rate ramp-up operating levels. Additionally, you will provide quality input into all reviews, including risk, multi-function, planning, and stakeholder reviews.

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Conformance Engineer

  • Apply and deploy APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and quality standards
  • Support and facilitate Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) in design, process, and machine
  • Create and update Control Plans (CPs) to incorporate modifications as required
  • Plan and execute Production Process Verification (PPV) to ensure validation of all routings
  • Lead Cost of Non-Quality forecasting and support mitigation activities where required

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in a similar quality engineering or conformance role, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Strong understanding of APQP, quality standards, and industrial system development
  • Excellent problem-solving and continuous improvement skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
