Job Description: 

Position: Head of Product

Location: Scotland - Glasgow office, Hybrid 

Salary: Highly Competitive plus Equity


What you will be doing: 

  • Refining and owning the Product Roadmap; reflecting the founders’ vision, customer insights and business strategy
  • Initially, working directly with developers to deliver on the Roadmap with a view to building out the Product team
  • Setting and upholding a product development quality standard, ensuring that the team can be proud of any new developments brought to market 
  • Setting and driving a product development cadence that strikes the appropriate balance of cost/speed to market vs value-add to make sure the team maintains focus and pace
  • Being deeply interested in the customers’ point of view and running user research as appropriate 
  • Supporting recruitment activities to build out the Product team
  • Supporting other teams and functions including Growth and Customer Success to deliver a consistent product experience from first customer point of contact to delivery and retention


What we are looking for: 

  • Experience working within an early-stage startup or similar environment where there are high levels of ambiguity and a rapid pace of new product development, with a small team
  • 1 - 3 years’ leadership experience leading a mix of team members including designers and product managers
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and visual) with an ability to lead and progress discussions with a wide range of different stakeholders
  • Strong product design skills built from a background as a Product Designer
  • High level of data literacy, especially the ability to communicate data
  • Strong bias for action, including the ability to see ways to break up ambitious goals into deliverable, iterative and testable pieces
  • A self-starter who is effective at being both hands-on and leading a team; and is comfortable wearing multiple hats (product manager, designer and researcher)

  • Experience working with a B2B SaaS product
  • Experience with the ESG regulatory environment
  • Experience planning, conducting and drawing insights from user-research
