Date Posted:Country: United KingdomLocation: Liftec Express Dartford Regus Admirals Park Victory Way Dartford DA2 6QDTitle: General AccountantLocation: LondonLiftec Express a leading PE-backed independent provider of elevator and escalator services in the UK is seeking a skilled and experienced General Accountant.Reporting to the Finance Director the General Accountant will support core accounting activities including general ledger management reconciliations journal postings and supporting the month-end close.Daily Responsibilities:Prepare and post journal entries including accruals prepayments and adjustmentsPerform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding itemsSupport the monthly and year-end closing processMaintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of transactionsAssist in preparation of management accounts and financial reportsProcess intercompany transactions and reconciliationsReconcile bank accounts and support treasury processesWork closely with the AP/AR teams to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of queriesSupport audit processes and liaise with external auditors as requiredAssist with VAT returns tax compliance and other regulatory filingsContribute to the improvement and documentation of accounting processes and controlsSupport ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by the Finance ControllerKey Requirements:Part-qualified or qualified by experience (AAT / ACCA / CIMA)Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting.Relevant certification such as ACCA CIMA ACA or equivalent is preferred5 years of similar experienceExperience in a PE-backed turnaround or carve-out environment is advantageousPrevious experience in a service or construction-related business is a plusStrong understanding of accounting principlesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesLiftec Express is a group of core specialist businesses which focus on the supply installation maintenance repair and modernisation of all types of lift equipment in commercial and residential properties.
