Introduction to the positionThis Power BI – Senior Manager Finance role is within the Data & BI team of a private equity firm, supporting a diverse portfolio of businesses across Europe, Asia, and the U.S. The team delivers data, analytics, and finance-driven insights that inform senior management and board-level decisions.While Power BI is a core tool, this role goes beyond dashboard development and requires a broad understanding of the full BI lifecycle. The successful candidate will gather business requirements from finance, procurement, and operational teams, structure and clean raw and often unstructured data, and develop actionable dashboards and analytical solutions. The position requires flexibility to work across multiple platforms, including Tableau or Qlik, and across a technology-agnostic environment where data quality and system maturity vary widely.This role provides significant exposure to portfolio businesses and the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making. It also offers long-term potential to work on internal projects such as CEO-level cost control initiatives.Your ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain insightful dashboards and analytical reports primarily using Power BIClean, structure, and validate data from legacy systems and unstructured sourcesTranslate business requirements from finance, procurement, and operations into analytical solutionsAdapt solutions across multiple BI platforms as required (e.g., Tableau, Qlik)Ensure accuracy and repeatability of processes feeding senior management and board-level decisionsManage third-party vendors and BI-related contracts when neededTravel to portfolio businesses across Europe, Asia, and the U.S. (up to 80%)Desired QualificationsStrong Power BI expertise and experience with other BI tools is advantageousBackground in consulting or startup environments preferredExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills in English (German beneficial)Solid understanding of finance processes and business analyticsHigh attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errorsComfortable working in technology-agnostic, fast-changing environmentsApply online/via LinkedIn or email your CV to oliver@systemsaccountants.comFor more information on this and related ERP, HCM and Digital Finance career opportunities, or to understand how we can support you, please contact Oliver Steele at SystemsAccountants: oliver@systemsaccountants.com
