STOIX is thrilled to partner with an industry leading, highly profitable services company (c£200m revenue) to find their next Head of Group Finance. This pivotal role involves managing and transforming centralised finance operations, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller and collaborating closely with the Group CFO. You'll oversee daily financial activities, strategic planning, and ensure compliance and robust controls, playing a crucial role in the company's succession planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Inspire and mentor the finance team, promoting high performance and professional development.
- Change Management: Drive efficiency and improvements through strategic changes and effective communication.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial statements and reports for the executive team and stakeholders.
- Operational Finance: Oversee daily financial operations, maintaining strong internal controls and regulatory compliance.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks with effective strategies and policies.
- Financial Analysis: Provide insightful analysis to support business decisions and enhance financial performance.
- Compliance and Audit: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and manage audit processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Align financial strategies with business goals and communicate effectively across all levels.
- Management Reporting: Produce accurate monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow and forecasting for the group.
- Group Ledgers Compliance: Ensure all group ledgers comply with company policies.
- Budget and Forecasting: Collaborate with FP&A to consolidate budgets and forecasts accurately.
- M&A and Joint Ventures: Lead finance aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- Project Management: Oversee finance projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Systems and Processes: Manage and strategise the Group finance system and connected systems.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with post-qualification experience.
- Hands on experience gained in entrepreneurial, SMEs (£40-£300m revenue)
- Proactive leader with a track record in finance transformation.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and leadership skills.
- Hands-on, positive attitude, capable of inspiring and developing a high-performing team.
- Strong technical skills and deep understanding of financial regulations.
- Excellent communicator, able to present financial information clearly to diverse audiences.
