The role comes with a range of benefits, including 25 days of annual holiday (plus bank holidays), private medical insurance, and life insurance cover.In this role, you'll work towards your Level 3 Software Development Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.A Typical Day in the Job:Work across all stages of the software development lifecycle, from planning and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance. Write clear, logical, and maintainable code that meets project specifications and coding standards. Use version control systems to manage and store code safely. Help fix bugs and support the maintenance of existing software systems. Take part in different types of testing, such as unit, integration, and end-to-end testing. Follow secure coding practices to protect software from security risks. Connect code to data sources to ensure software functions correctly. Communicate and work with team members, stakeholders, and customers, and help create technical documents like user stories and design diagrams. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.Desired Qualities, Skills and KnowledgeGood analytical and collaboration skills.
