The business is value-driven and puts curiosity, ambition and integrity at the heart of everything they do. Due to growth and the need to free up Senior Staff members’ time for more strategic initiatives, our client is looking for a Senior Scrum Master to be the champion of all things Agile, Scrum and Delivery within the Engineering function comprised of 4 squads.


Location: Bristol (2 days a week ideally, however 1 day a week as a minimum expectation.)


The Role:


The Senior Scrum Master will be responsible for ensuring the teams continue to develop their understanding of both Scrum and Agile, liaising with the current team leads to help them better facilitate all key events. You’ll be the go-to individual for anything Agile and Scrum within the business and will be a key conduit of support with a direct line to the CTO to assist with function-wide initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure Agile principles are not only adhered to but the culture of agility is continued to be adopted and truly understood within the engineering function
  • Continue to foster strong relationships across the business to aid business agility
  • Support the development and implementation of OKR’s at the business and team level
  • Work with the current squads to innovate new ideas around experimentation and optimisation
  • Support key events and mentor/coach the teams and team leads toward a smoother delivery process
  • Continue to drive high performance within teams through guidance, support and constant feedback
  • Encourage a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the teams

  • Proven track record as a Senior Scrum Master working across multiple squads
  • Ability to introduce new methods of experimentation to encourage diverse thought
  • Experience with Scrum methodology and delivering releases at exceedingly short cadences
  • Experience supporting and optimising OKR strategy
  • Ability to Coach the Engineering function on Agile ways of working. Someone who can truly be the go-to Agile Champion of the business
  • Proficient in building and maintaining relationships across the business
  • In such a values-led business, a personable open-minded individual would suit best
  • PSM II is not a must, but this will be highly advantageous
