This role involves defining both the technology plans and the conceptual and logical target architectures and roadmaps. The EA is also accountable for assuring the designs that define the implementation of the production systems. In addition to core business priorities, the EA must consider broader technology factors (e.g. data, technology, and integration) in defining and delivering the technical enablers to support the business strategy.

This will require a highly collaborative style, engaging with a range of senior business stakeholders and technology colleagues to ensure a seamless and integrated capability is delivered. They will use their industry knowledge to challenge and influence the outcome to ensure the best outcome.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the definition of the Target Enterprise Architecture for Content & Publishing aligned to the company strategy and goals.

- Assess the financial and technical impact of change and contribute to an architecture investment strategy to transition from the current to target architecture.

- Lead the definition of architecture models for the Content & Publishing domain, including as-is, to-be, and transition state architecture models.

- MDM for the product lifecycle and integration into Architecture

(Informatica, Siebel flowed to SAP)

- Contribute to the development of a technology strategy across all domains as part of the architecture team. Perform regular review of roadmaps to ensure continued alignment with business needs.

- Contribute to the definition of overarching Enterprise Architecture and domain-specific principles to guide solution decision making.

- Contribute to the definition of enterprise standards, patterns, and other architectural artifacts that guide the implementation of the Enterprise Architecture for all domains. Participate in regular review of those artifacts, assessing and verifying efficacy and need.

- Participate in Architecture Governance forums to ensure that Architecture standards are adhered to, strategic plans and objectives are met, and roadmaps are realized effectively. Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of Architecture Governance processes and forums, aligned to wider governance models.

- Provide consultancy on strategic initiatives and other projects/programs and act as the conduit to approval for technology implementations and purchases, ensuring that they are aligned to the enterprise architecture strategy.

- Track and report progress against the architecture roadmaps and overall target architectures.

- Engage and build relationships with technology vendors in your area to ensure the optimal outcome.
