Live in Handyman

Silver Swan is currently seeking an experienced live in Handyman / Maintenance for a lovely new client near Pulborough, West Sussex. The House Manager is a longstanding contact of ours, looking to build and grow a professional, quality team of staff for the house and grounds. The successful Handyman / Maintenance will be working for a Couple with 3 children, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. They live in a large manor house, and their business is also run on the estate. The successful Handyman / Maintenance will be working within a team, reporting to the House Manager.Please note: Candidates MUST have the right to live and work in the UK. We do not offer visa sponsorship. Candidates who are not eligible to live and work in the UK will not be considered.Responsibilities:

• Attending to the family’s 4 animals when required
• Driving duties - may be required to drive the family on occasion if the nanny is unavailable for school runs
• Ensure everything is working as necessary, and report issues to the wide facilities team when needed
• Responsible for garden furniture cleaning, maintenance, and set up
• Cleaning and maintaining the BBQ area and outdoor fireplace
• Assisting with deliveries on the estate
• Disposal of garbage
• Cleaning and looking after high end car collection
• Willing to work with the garden and estate team where necessary
• Collecting deliveries from the office and bringing to the private household ensuring they are passed onto the relevant staff

Ideal candidate:

• MUST have the right to live and work in the UK
• Driver essential
• Team player and happy to help wherever needed
• Previous experience as a Handyman / Maintenance preferred
• Experience working on private estates

Package:

• Working week: 5 days / week on a rota basis to cover weekends. Shifts are between the hours of 8am and 8pm with the Handyman / Maintenance team
• Salary: £35-40k
• Accommodation: 2 bedroom lodge/cottage on the estate
• Start: ASAP
