We are looking for a Production Line Leader to join our team in a role offering you a hands-on opportunity to demonstrate your technical excellence operational efficiency and ability to motivate coach and lead our production team aligning your teams activities with the companys goals for quality safety and productivity.Autosmart International is a manufacturing success story leading the field in vehicle cleaning products we are the No.1 choice of automotive trade customers across the UK. We are investing over 35 million in our new state of the art production facility based at Burntwood.What we can offer our Production Line Leader: Competitive salary we would love to have a chat about your salary expectations Permanent contract of employment in a stable and growing manufacturing business Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.00pm 40 hours per week Companywide training programme to develop key skills 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Non-contributory; private health care Generous contributory pension scheme Life insurance at three times salary Employee assistance programme Staff purchase scheme take home products for FREEOur Production Line Leader will: Carry out real time equipment problem solving and root cause analysis suggesting and implementing corrective actions and escalating issues to the Production Supervisor and engineering team as appropriate. Train production operatives to operate to the right standards and give regular constructive feedback to improve performance. Coordinate the day-to-day organisation of team members within your area to meet production schedules escalating relevant issues to the Production Supervisor. Complete documentation including logbooks maintenance cleaning records batch production control records and risk assessments. Take responsibility and support Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) and 5s visual management standards within designated area. Identify and complete lean six sigma improvement projects as required Promote and champion process improvements within the production area. Provide day to day cover for other Production areas in the absence of a Technical Team Leader.What our Production Line Leader will bring: Excellent communication and rapport building skills The ability to lead and coach a team within an automated environment Demonstrable experience of machine operation fault-finding and repair Highly motivated with a hands-on and can-do attitude and able to remain calm under pressure Has a proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities and enjoys identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions Confident IT skills including ERP systems Be flexible for training at both our Shenstone and Burntwood manufacturing sites Live within a 45 minute commute of Shenstone or BurntwoodIf you are looking for a varied and pacey role in a stable market leading business where you can develop and utilise your existing skills contribute to improvement and make a difference from day one then we cannot wait to hear from you apply today.Please note this role is initially based at our Head Office in Shenstone Lichfield with frequent travel to our Burntwood operations site.
