We have an exciting opportunity for a Salesforce Systems Administrator to join our Enterprise applications and development team at PPL PRS. Working alongside a team of Salesforce Administrators, Developers & Quality Analysts, we are looking for a proactive individual with a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, who can understand both our current setup and our business objectives, in order to quickly identify areas of improvement and provide a positive user experience.

The Salesforce Administrator should be comfortable with all areas of Core Salesforce configuration. The ideal candidate will be happy liaising with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to translate technical information for a non-technical audience, clearly explaining rationale, benefits, and potential impact.

What you will be doing

  1. Configure and design functionality and end-user support of the Salesforce platform.
  2. Configure and maintain custom objects, record types, fields, page layouts, validation rules, flows, approval processes, installed packages, etc. within Salesforce.com.
  3. Support with change control and best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, data integrity, etc.
  4. Identify production risks and areas for improvement; prioritise, design and facilitate successful implementation and adoption of new processes.
  5. Manage all issues that come into 1st line support, alongside other members of the Application Support team.
  6. Manage 2nd line activity by responding to requests for support regarding our Salesforce stack and other 3rd party systems, business processes, investigating, resolving and/or escalating issues, alongside other members of the Application Support team.
  7. Maintain user roles and profiles, security settings, access settings, etc. (User Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Sharing Rules and Security).
  8. Conduct data quality reviews for customer data working closely with data owner(s) to understand whether the data is needed by the business and define the access requirements.
  9. Carry out data management and cleansing.
  10. Conduct bulk data updates in the system.
  11. Create and maintain both technical and support documentation using JIRA and Confluence.
  12. Provide clear communications to individuals and user groups through multiple channels to provide licensing, process and solution advice and guidance, ensuring a high level of customer service.
  13. Assist in maintaining Jitterbit integrations with external systems, and resolving issues should they arise.
  14. Maintain tariff configuration and pricing in the Salesforce CPQ application.
  15. Create and maintain servicing letters and emails within Conga Composer and Conga Sign.
  16. Develop user stories alongside business owners and project teams to define clear acceptance criteria ensuring accuracy and ease of use of developed solutions.
  17. Assist with Vonage configuration and support, including setup of users and providing required access.
  18. Be a super user of Salesforce and other components utilised in Licensing business processes, supporting with training material post defect or enhancement development.
  19. Understand and be able to perform relevant business processes end-to-end.
  20. Champion and support the adoption and usage of relevant technologies and tools by the business.
  21. Work with the Application Management Services provider to triage and resolve incidents, to support the maintenance of Salesforce.
  22. Develop, contribute to, and support our devops solution, identifying issues and improvements.
  23. Actively seek to improve and invest in personal development.
  24. Ensure the on-time delivery of solution or enhancements.

You will have

  1. Strong Salesforce product knowledge and at least 2 years of Salesforce Administration hands-on experience across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
  2. Experience with JIRA, Confluence for Agile Delivery.
  3. Experience with Certinia, Salesforce CPQ, Pardot, Conga Composer, and Ownbackup.
  4. Experience of working in a BAU/Support based role.
  5. Understanding of ITIL practices.
  6. Experience with bulk data management tools, such as Data Loader, Demand Tools.
  7. Additional Salesforce certifications e.g. Advanced Admin, Platform App Builder would be advantageous.
