Data AnalystThe Data Analyst will provide analytical and technical support to Commander Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC). This role is responsible for collecting analyzing and reporting data to improve decision-making optimize business processes and enhance readiness. The analyst will leverage advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel to manipulate and interpret complex datasets. Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is required with experience in Navy Maintenance Database (NMD) or Ship Maintenance Data Improvement Initiative (SMDII) considered a strong plus.Key Responsibilities: Collect organize and analyze maintenance and operational data to identify trends gaps and opportunities for process improvement. Develop maintain and update reports dashboards and visualizations for leadership using Excel Power BI and/or Tableau. Prepare presentations briefings and written reports in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word for delivery to senior leadership. Manage correspondence schedules and coordination tasks in Microsoft Outlook. Support predictive analytics and readiness reporting to inform strategic planning and resource allocation. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide actionable insights. Assist in the integration and validation of data from NMD SMDII or other Navy maintenance systems. Ensure data integrity consistency and compliance with Navy standards. Provide ad hoc analyses in response to leadership queries and operational needs.Required Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint Outlook Word) with advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables formulas charts data models). Working knowledge of business intelligence and visualization tools (Power BI and/or Tableau). Strong analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to produce complex data into clear and concise reports and briefings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Desired Qualifications: Experience with Navy maintenance systems such as NMD or SMDII. Familiarity with Department of the Navy (DON) processes terminology and reporting requirements.
