Engineering validation manager - Peterborough - Hybrid - 12 Months FTC


During validation processes for both engines and machines, technical observations, referred to as Pre-Production Reliability Defects (PPRDs). These observations require regular review to assess if further action is fundamental to better understand and mitigate potential risks.The primary purpose of this role is to oversee and manage the PPRD process within IPSD-M.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading internal review meetings within the engineering team to assign ownership and action items for identified issues.
  • Developing and sharing reliability/PPRD health metrics to provide clear visibility of progress and areas requiring attention.
  • Managing access to the PPRD database to ensure appropriate usage and data security.
  • Providing training on the tools and systems used in the PPRD process.
  • Driving continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in managing PPRDs.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • A degree in Engineering or a STEM discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Engine experience (advantageous but not essential).
  • Familiarity with proactive reliability principles and demonstrated experience in improving product quality.
  • 5-6 years industry experience minimum


Additional Information:

  • Location - Peterborough, 3 days a week on-site.


  • Rate -

PAYE : £26.83 / hour

Rolled Up : £30.07 / hour

UMBRELLA : £34.62 / hour


  • 37 hours per week
  • January start date, 12 Month FTC
  • 1 stage interview
