This is an exciting opportunity for skilled sewers to work in a fun, production environment; producing beautiful bespoke furnishings.Responsibilities: * Cutting and sewing fabrics for furniture manufacture on flat and overlock machines including using cutting machine * Cutting and shaping materials with hand and machine tools * Working out the quantity and type of materials needed * Setting the cutting machine * Sewing different fabric types * Changing machine settings * Checking finished work against the pattern instructions * Cleaning and routine daily maintenance on machines * Sewing different fabrics like cotton, wool, leather, or industrial textilesRequirements: * Previous experience as a sewing machinist or similar role * Proficiency in operating flat and overlock sewing machines * Ability to work with various fabric types including cotton, wool, leather, or industrial textiles * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow pattern instructions * Excellent time management skills * Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques * Positive attitude and team player mentalityOpportunity for Development: There is opportunity for development within the business for the right candidate.How to Apply: Please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience
