Are you a passionate, dynamic, and dedicated teacher looking for a flexible role in a supportive and thriving primary school? We are seeking an enthusiastic PPA Cover Teacher to join our vibrant team at a friendly primary school in Tower Hamlets.

The Role:
As a PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality teaching to classes across various year groups, ensuring that students remain engaged, motivated, and learning effectively. You will be covering for class teachers during their PPA time, delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, and supporting pupils' individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging lessons based on the provided planning.
  • Managing classroom behavior effectively and creating a positive learning environment.
  • Supporting the individual needs of students, ensuring inclusive practices.
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress during the lessons.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure smooth transitions between lessons.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in Key Stage 1 and 2.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Passionate about making a difference in children's education.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working as a PPA cover teacher or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum and current teaching practices.
