Job Title: QA TechnicianDepartment: TechnicalLocation: Trafford Park, ManchesterQuality Assurance of Metrosil and Wolfmet productsOverall purpose of the job:Support the Metrosil and Wolfmet businesses in delivering high quality products, compliant to industry and customer standards.Responsibilities and duties:* Carry out final inspection of finished parts and assemblies, primarily for the Metrosil product group, but also for other product groups as needed.* Conduct in-process inspections.* Analyse and interpret data to generate certification documents.* Liaise and communicate with multiple departments, such as Production, Customer services and Commercial.* Complete QA documentation including quality control plans, inspection plans and test reports.* Support the QA Team Leader with preparation for, undertaking of, and follow up actions relating to customer and ISO audits in Wolfmet and Metrosil.* Assist with continuous improvement in the QA function as directed by the QA Team Leader Cannot be allergic to metal powders, laboratory chemical environments.Good eyesight for visual inspection of partsPhysically fit to handle heavy components.General Intelligence:Ability to interpret data and apply judgment on the relevance of it.Able to use and maintain Excel spreadsheets.Special Aptitudes: Ability to handle potential scenarios of internal work tension /conflict needed in QA environment.Personal Background: Must be reliable and thorough in their approach to the job.Must be able to adapt to large volumes of work while ensuring products meet compliance.Must be flexible and willing to adapt to workloads in both Wolfmetand Metrosil where demand dictates.Full UK driving license is essential due to potential of moving between two sites to support both businesses.Hours of Work: 37.5 per week; Monday to FridayTime Recruitment Solutions Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
