Murex Business Analyst

A global Investment Bank with offices in London are currently seeking a Murex Business Analyst to work in scoping and developing the system for Front Office users. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with the dynamic Front Office team to enhance Murex functionalities. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in financial markets, strong analytical skills, and foundational experience with Murex.


This role will be highly visible across the IT department by working on a crucial system.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a bridge between Front Office traders and technical teams, capturing business requirements for Murex configurations.
  • Set-up of dedicated pricing curves, market data, pricing layout, simulation layout & user profiles.
  • Assist in all phases up to the implementation of Position Management and Market Risk Management for Front Office Murex system users.
  • Engage the Front Office, Model Val, Risk and Product Control when new initiatives are considered. Provide high level estimation, plan the work and manage business expectations, build and test the config and handle the release management with Support.
  • Configure and maintain Murex system modules, ensuring alignment with Front Office workflows.
  • Regular coordination with production support management on any production issues.
  • Collaborate with other teams (e.g., Risk, Back Office, and IT) to ensure seamless end-to-end trade processing.
  • Document business processes, system configurations, and enhancements for future reference.


Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Experience as a Business Analyst in a financial services environment, with exposure to Murex.
  • Familiarity with Front Office trading operations and financial instruments (e.g., FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives).
  • Tech savvy
  • Banking experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, and computer literacy.
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Enthusiastic with a desire to help and learn from FO business.
