Are you an experienced Building Services Project Manager with a background in HVAC or building compliance?This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of large-scale projects — valued up to £30 million — within one of the UK’s most complex and high-profile engineering environments.We’re seeking a Building Services Project Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of major infrastructure and compliance-led projects across Portsmouth Naval Base, covering a diverse estate of over 450 buildings.Tell me more...As part of the Building Services team, you’ll be responsible for managing multiple projects from design through to commissioning and handover — working closely with engineers, contractors, the client, and end users.You’ll lead on all aspects of project delivery, including scope development, procurement, cost control, and programme management, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.This role will particularly suit someone with experience in HVAC systems, mechanical building services, or statutory compliance works within large estates, public sector, or defence environments.What do you need?Proven experience delivering Building Services or HVAC projects, ideally within complex or secure sitesExperience managing projects up to £30 million in value, across multiple buildings or facilitiesStrong understanding of building compliance, mechanical systems, and health & safety regulationsExcellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skillsAbility to manage multi-disciplinary teams and supply chain partnersSolid understanding of Building Regulations, British Standards, CDM Regulations, and industry best practiceIdeally qualified with a Degree, HNC/HND in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical EngineeringProfessional certification such as APM PMQ, SMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH is advantageousThe details:Location: Portsmouth Naval BaseBritish Passport is requiredSalary: Up to £64,000 per annum (depending on experience)Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to FridayBenefits include:25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysEnhanced pension scheme and life assuranceGroup income protection and wellbeing supportCycle to work scheme and employee recognition initiativesOngoing professional training and chartership supportAccess to exclusive discounts and on-site benefitsThis is an exceptional opportunity to join a leading organisation delivering major projects that keep one of the UK’s most critical naval facilities operational, safe, and future-ready.Kingdom People is acting within the capacity of a Recruitment Agency for their client.
