Interesting real life work with a meaningful purpose:

The company are heavily investing in their technology to improve sustainability & customer experience.

They are incorporating tech to address environmental impacts, including reducing emissions through operational efficiencies and improving supply chain sustainability.

They have work on their healthcare technologies. Digitising the systems to streamline both clinical and operational workflow.

The goal for the business is to unify everything, and make it customer focused.


Highly advanced & modern technologies:

.Net 8. Microservices first. Azure Cloud heavily in use. Other technologies include the likes of CosmosDB, Containers (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm), Rabbit MQ, Octopus, TeamCity, Web/Rest APIs, good development principles like TDD, Agile along with good Testing process, Unit Testing etc.

Cloud coverage using things like Azure Functions, ServiceBus, AKS, Virtual Machines, Blob Storage, DNS, Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory, Event Grid, Storage Queues, Active Directory & Key Vault

With all the work Greenfield development.


Flexibility:

They work on a remote 1st basis, with flexible start and finish times to fit into the modern day life. They do go to the office on occasion, so they wont consider anyone too far from the office but these days are far and few between. And also worked around the schedule of the team. I would say its a great option for someone who likes more flexibility, to be able to spend that extra time with family or do the school runs for example.


Good benefits package:

They offer a bonus that works out around £8k on top annually. The pension contribution is 2.5x what you put in. Holidays are many, 36 days including bank holidays where you can buy more and it also increases every year that you work with them. Private health insurance. Shares and Stocks available to you. Money off their products. Before working with this company, I tried to headhunt from them and nobody would leave due to the good benefits on offer. Always a good sign So I thought if I cant beat them ill join them - and now I recruit for them.

Lets be honest, the economy is a mess. Redundancies everywhere. And company pausing on pay rises. The income year on year here since covid has gone up and up. Nobody has been made redundant, with pay rises every year. You will feel secure and excited to stick around long term.


The Skills Needed


  • They require good .Net Core experience - modern
  • Cloud experience is a must. Ideally Azure but if you have AWS or GCP, and its good experience, that transfers well, then you have a shot
  • You MUST come from a good background of coding already. That means very good testing experience, working with modern process, principles and practises


This is a good role, so they wont just hire anyone. You will need to showcase you can hit the ground running and be a good asset.
