Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Principal Engineer - Electrical Engineering (Power Electrics) to join their team in Barrow on a contract basis. Key Responsibilities: Leading electrical engineering projects related to power electrics within the submarine sector Designing, developing, testing, and supervising the installation of electrical systems Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver project milestones Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers Analysing project requirements and developing technical solutions Travelling to suppliers and collaborating on-site as required Producing detailed technical documentation and reports Job Requirements: Experience in electrical engineering within the defence sector; especially focused on power electrics Proficiency with Labview is essential Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices Experience with submarine systems is desirable Effective project management and team leadership skills Security Clearance at SC level and UK Eyes Only is mandatory Willingness to travel to Barrow and Leicester as needed Benefits: Opportunity to work on pivotal defence projects Engagement in a hybrid work environment with flexible arrangements Professional growth and development within a leading defence organisation C...
