Tooling Engineer

Ripon WI

Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

TheTooling Engineeris responsible for creating doenting developing and implementing procedures used to tool the Companys products.

Responsibilities

  • Improve overall processes and related issues including process development
  • Schedule and create process doentation
  • Problem solving and program management
  • Design installation and debug of tooling and capital equipment
  • Obtain tooling quotes and coordinate sourcing build and tryout
  • Develop and trouble stamping processes
  • Specify forming and stamping equipment
  • Provide engineering resources for other departments as required
  • Follow quality systems procedures as required
  • Design and develop manufacturing tooling and fixtures
  • Provide tool construction personnel with sketches and instructions
  • Investigate and yse tooling processing embly and sequencing issues
  • Initiate corrective actions to include the modification of plant tooling and machine programming
  • Work closely with product and process teams to design install and launch robust processes including process sign off activities and production pilots
  • Participate in problem resolution teams
  • Develop specifications and yse supplier quotations for purchase of new production equipment up to and including entire manufacturing lines
  • Daily troubleing of embly and press shop problems to support production
  • Liaison with R&D to ensure manufacturability of components prior to release
  • Contact person for ECN (Engineering Change Notice) implementation
  • Other duties as igned

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience:

  • CAD experience required
  • i.e.: AutoCAD Pro E Solid Works
  • Journeyman Tool and Die experience a plus
  • Die Design experience a plus
  • Knowledge of design applications stamping and molding
  • Knowledge of equipment and systems appropriate to related discipline
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and procedures

Ss and Abilities:

  • S in applying engineering principles and procedures
  • S in engineering design applications
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • The desire to strive for both personal and operational excellence through a neverending drive for continuous improvement
  • Committed to achieving worldcl performance standards

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related field OR 8 years of equivalent experience
  • Any equivalent combination of experience training and/or education approved by Human Resources

Physical Requirements:

  • Position involves sitting long periods standing manual dexterity stooping bending and minimal lifting

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related field OR 8 years of equivalent experience.
  • Experience in CAD i.e.: AutoCAD Pro E Solid Works.
  • Journeyman Tool and Die experience
  • Die Design experience
