These can include aerospace automotive (including F1) metrological hydrology energy technology and oil & gas; although this role has a focus on aerospace domain. You will play an integral part ensuring products are the leading edge of technology for our customers.As a Lead Embedded Software Development Engineer you will be responsible for:Leading small to medium sized teams of software engineers to deliver projects and products for our customersProviding expert knowledge for embedded software systems to meet budget and customer delivery timesBeing accountable for continuous improvements to processes to deliver quality robust solutionsCollaborating with internal cross-functional and leadership teams to identify product improvements and influence key decisionsFuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will have:Have a Bachelors or Masters in Computer or Electronic EngineeringDemonstrable lead experience in full life cycle embedded software development including requirements and reviewsSignificant skills at development using C for embedded applicationsExpertise in the development of embedded software systems using Operating systems like Linux Micrium etc.Experience of developing Arm based processors like STM32Demonstrable project and team leadership experience leading to the delivery of successful business solutionsGood understanding of test methodologies use of static and dynamic code analysis etc.Experience in GUI development using QML is beneficialExperience in working in an agile methodology use of modern version control tools like GithubReasonable hardware knowledgeGood Problem-solving abilities and is a self-starterWork in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone this role we can offer the following flexible working patterns:Working remotely from home or any other work location (up to 2 days a week)Working reduced hours/days in a job share/split arrangementWorking with usOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
