Our client is a division of a national PLC property company and private equity group. The company is a large freeholder, residential landlord and has various other business interests both in the UK and US.

They now wish to add a Paralegal to assistant the Group Legal Director with

  • Providing legal and administrative support to the Head of Legal.
  • Supporting the Head of Legal as and when required with all legal workstreams including land acquisitions, disposals, refinancing, contractual reviews, compliance, corporate, dispute resolution and ad hoc queries from the business.
  • Ensuring all final versions of key reports, documents and agreements are filed and correctly logged and in line with the business’ requirements.
  • Carrying out such other duties as delegated from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the department and wider business.

We are looking for a candidate with

  • A minimum of 1 year Paralegal experience in an in house legal team is preferred.
  • Law Degree or equivalent legal qualification.
  • Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and ensure projects are progressed in a timely manner.
  • Excellent organisational skills, detail-oriented, flexible, and innovative. Strong sense of business and legal ethics.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously.
  • Interest in the real estate sector.

Please note this is an office based role in Reading Berkshire and therefore the candidate must be local and be prepared to travel to Reading at least four days a week. Salary circa £35,000 plus bonus and benefits
