Your expertise will help deliver innovative solutions that protect the environment, reduce flood risk, improve water supply, and create lasting value for local communities.From early-stage planning to detailed design and delivery, you’ll contribute to diverse programmes across the full project lifecycle. You’ll be supported by a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and have access to cutting-edge tools, professional development, and career progression opportunities.This is more than a modelling role, it’s a chance to make a meaningful impact while growing in a dynamic and inclusive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical lead for network modelling projectsLine Management of project team members with responsibility for day-to-day leadership and direction for the team, workload planning, technical guidance, driving staff performance and career development.Management of all health and safety, quality and environmental aspects of projects.Technical development and delivery of wastewater catchment strategies and solutions, to include flooding and CSO driversProvide technical and commercial leadership in the delivery of wastewater network projects within agreed timeframes and budgets and to exceed our clients’ expectationsTechnical governance of outputs and compliance with client specificationsUsing network models for planning, operational and design purposesSupport and supervise the wastewater modelling team, ensuring technical excellence and best industry practiceContribute to developing working methods, routines and innovative solutions to improve processes in the delivery of wastewater network projectsSupervision of report writing check and review of technical modelling outputs.Plan, programme and co-ordinate projects deliveryContribute to the preparation of cost estimates Supporting management in developing relationships and sales with existing and new clientsHere's what you'll needExcellent knowledge of the water industry with a focus on wastewater network solutionsProficiency in wastewater modelling software such as InfoAsset Manager, and InfoWorks ICM, ArcGIS, MapInfo Strong technical ability in the outline design of wastewater schemes; sewage pumping systems and treatment facilitiesExpertise in 1D and 2D modellingExcellent knowledge in current industry best practice and able to actively contribute to innovation in this field Good supervision and leadership skillsEnsuring project financial and programme performance.Experience of liaising with clients and managing projectsManagement and technical supervision of a team of modellersWhat We OfferUp to 10% company contribution into their pensionReimbursement towards relevant professional development and membershipsOpportunity to buy/sell annual leaveFree employee medical cover and digital GP serviceEnhanced parental leave payFertility healthcare and family-forming benefit provided by CarrotHybrid workingPart-time rolesFlexible working hours #WasteWaterUKJoining Jacobs not only connects you locally but globally.
