Job Title: Head of Sales

Location: Remote or White City, London

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer


Job Summary:

As the Head of Sales at FreshCheck, you will be responsible for leading our sales team to drive revenue growth and expand our market share in the growing environmental monitoring market. You will lead our efforts to reshape hygiene testing with our cutting-edge colour-change verification tools. You will develop strategic sales plans, manage key customer relationships, and oversee the integration of innovative sales strategies across the business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive B2B sales of FreshCheck’s Hygiene Verification System (HVS), managing the full deal cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Lead and expand the sales team, providing direction and support to ensure we meet or exceed our sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to refine lead generation and sales pipelines based on market feedback and innovation in product offerings.
  • Manage and enhance customer relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and service.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive customer records, using CRM systems to streamline workflow and enhance reporting.
  • Actively engage with key accounts, prospect new clients, and manage a diverse customer profile, including working with distribution partners and logistics operators.


Required Experience:

  • Extensive experience selling hygiene testing or technical products into the food/retail industry.
  • Demonstrated success in managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Proficient in setting up and managing CRM workflows.
  • Strong familiarity with food hygiene testing requirements and procedures, e.g., BRC Issue 9.
  • Experience with enterprise-level B2B sales and customer service.

  • Willing to travel to client locations when required.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: £50-£55k (negotiable on experience)
  • Car allowance: Attractive monthly allowance
  • Uncapped OTE
