The nature of the work is small to medium batch with medium to high complexity. The primary focus of this position is to work with the Milling and Turning teams to drive safety quality and delivery exceeding our customers expectations.ResponsibilitiesOperating CNC turning machines and other machines within the Turning department to produce components to customer specification. Typical tolerances of /- .001 (0.025mm) and occasional tolerances of /- .0005 (0.0125 mm)Working with Planning Quality and other teams on repeat and NPI jobs to develop manufacturing methods for our customers designs.Ensure accurate job timings are recorded within the Companys ERP system Javelin and scanning on and off jobs.Maintain 6s standards within the shop floorParticipate in Kaizen events and look for continuous improvement opportunities- improving processes with small tweaks or complete re-engineering.Setting two axis CNC lathes problem solving when setting.Basic understanding of programming with the ability to read the code.Experience and Skill RequiredPrevious Aerospace experience or similar is requiredCompetent in operating CNC Lathes (Takisawa CNC Turning machines) using Fanuc controls CMZ Turn experience would be an advantage.Previous experience of working with a range of materials i.e. Stainless Steel Nylon Titanium Inconel & Aluminum to typical tolerance of /- .001 (0.025mm) and occasional tolerances of /- .0005 (0.0125 mm) in line with customer specifications.Either apprentice trained or qualified by experienceCandidate must be capable of operating without supervision and have the capability to problem solve.Preferably apprentice trained in motor sport oil and gas or aerospaceImportant BehaviorsPuts the safety of self and others at the forefront and adheres to all safety measuresCustomer Focus- self-motivated with a desire to do a good job for our customersInstills Trust- able to work on own initiative and build good relationships with colleaguesAction Orientated- understands changing production schedules and can adapt to changing customer requirementsContinuous Improvement- doesnt settle for status quo and curious to see what happens when changes are put in placeSelf-Development- wants to be able to do a good job and develop skills and knowledgeAbout Regal RexnordRegal Rexnord is a publicly held global industrial manufacturer with 30000 associates around the world who help create a better tomorrow by providing sustainable solutions that power transmit and control motion.
