We are working with a well established and growing construction business to recruit a Buyer into their UK team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in centralising the buying function in the UK, as it is currently managed from Ireland.The company delivers high quality construction projects and is known for its friendly, supportive and genuinely bubbly team culture. You’ll be joining a business that values collaboration, development, and longterm growth - with clear opportunities to progress as the company continues to expand.The Role:As Buyer, you will be responsible for the procurement of materials, plant and tools (no subcontract buying), while also supporting with utilities administration. You will be based from the company’s central London HQ, with visits to the plant yard in West London a few times per month.Key responsibilities include:Managing the procurement of materials, plant and tools across projectsDeveloping and maintaining strong supplier relationshipsSupporting utilities administration and associated processesAbout YouThis role would suit someone earlier in their buying career who is ambitious and keen to grow with a business.We are looking for:Experience in a Buyer or Procurement role (construction preferred)Existing supplier contacts and the ability to build strong relationshipsA commercial mindset with a focus on cost control and efficiencyWhat’s on OfferSalary circa £50,000 - £60,000, with flexibility for the right candidatePackage - pension, birthday off and other employee related benefitsA genuinely supportive, sociable and welcoming team environmentClear opportunities for progression as the business grows
