Do you have experience supporting children with challenging behaviour? Are you seeking your next role in education? Empowering Learning are working alongside a school in the NG13 area who are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to support a group of children who present with EBD & SEMHThis role is due to start as soon as possible. The job will be on a fixed term contract until July 2024 and the hours of work are 08:30 - 4:00. There is a possibility the role will become permanent for the right person.The main duties within this role will be: Providing in class support to pupils who struggle to engage in classFollowing the school's behaviour and reward system to engage children De-escalating situations where challenging behaviour has arisen Helping children devise strategies to help improve their behaviours Working on a 1:1 basis with children with EBDLiaising with the school SENCO around progress of targeted pupils The school are looking for someone who:Has previous experience of working with children with EBDPossesses at least one years' school experienceCan build excellent relationships with the children Is able to engage children in academic lessons Can successfully de-escalate situations of challenging behaviour To apply for this role, please send across your CV via the application page.
