This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect Integrity and Flexibility into your ways of working.You can find out more on Our Behaviours web page Our Behaviours The City of Edinburgh CouncilOur salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.Happy to talk flexible working.Follow us on X at @edincounciljobsView Fabric Support Officer job descriptionResponsibilitiesExperience:Experience of working in a commercially aware environment.Experience in decision-making planning and taking ownershipExperience in all fabric maintenance with necessary skillsExperience in monitoring contractsExperience in dealing with service demands that require progressive interactive and innovate approachExperience of delivering services to correct standards in the most cost effective energy efficient manner with a creative and innovative approach Experience of prioritising resource in a challenging and fast-moving environmentExperience in adhering to SLAs code of practise expected quality levels etcKnowledge skills and understanding:Knowledge of fabric maintenance service deliveryKnowledge of health and safety legislative requirements and of risk identification/assessment and performance monitoring.Able to deliver contracts/projects on time and to budgetKnowledge of building services and standardsStakeholder managementAble to provide technical level advice and guidanceKnowledge of maintaining budgets product standards and contractors performanceKnowledge of escalation process and check in supportKnowledge of approving invoice payments and valuation certificates instructing of works work orders purchase orders maintenance orders and emergency repairsQualifications and training:HND/HNC in Building Maintenance or equivalent with experience of working in a building maintenance repairs inspection and testing environment.Completed a trade apprenticeship. Including having a building services trade backgroundFull clean driving licence (Desirable)Job specific requirements:The post holder will be responsible for assisting in the successful delivery of the Technical Operations Service within a challenging and ever-changing environment subject to budget and service pressures with often conflicting deadlines.Requirement to work out with standard hours when the situation so demands to ensure the service is not exposed to risk.The post holder will be required to work closely with other post holders and Fabric Surveyors to provide effective service ensuring support and coverage as appropriate to achieve shared team deadlines and commitments.
