Our client, based in South Cambridge, is looking for a Technical Service Team Manager to join their team. The Technical Service Team Manager will report directly to the Managing Director and will lead and develop the service department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a technical supervisor role within a service function and will have a good technical mind, able to pick up new concepts.Responsibilities will include: * Managing the day to day running of the service department and overseeing all units coming into the workshop for service or repair. * Arranging the engineering planner for all site visits and allocating engineers for all on-site jobs. * Managing the engineers and service administration team. * Assisting the service administrator and helpdesk engineer with escalated customer enquiries and any customer complaints, ensuring a high level of customer service. * Contacting customers to provide excellent after sales care. * Managing weekly service meetings and liaising with the sales departments to ensure cohesion between the two departments. * Ensuring that engineers have all equipment required to enable a prompt turn around time in the workshop. * Managing the maintenance of all service documents and service aids. * Producing reports and spreadsheets for the Managing Director and leading projects. * Being first point of contact for stakeholders and external suppliers/vendors.The ideal candidate must have the following skills and experience: * A successful track record in a supervisor role within a service function * Proven experience as a respected team leader * A passion for delivering excellent customer service * A strong working knowledge of IT including CRM systems and Microsoft Office * Strong literacy skills, both written and spoken English * A current UK driving licence and ability to travel
