Well established our client has been in business for over 50 years and works with some prestigious brands supplying & installing furniture throughout the UK.If you are looking to join a leading manufacturing business that can offer you a clear path of progression this role is for youWhat's in it for You? * £27,378 per annum DOE * Permanent * Mon- Thu 7:30AM -4:00PM & Fri 7:30AM- 3:00PM * 28 days holiday Inc Stats * Birthday day off * Parking * Uniform * Death in service after the qualifying period * Healthcare plan after the qualifying periodThe Role * Measure and cut materials using manual or automated cutting instruments. * Operate sewing machines (Single and twin) to sew upholstery and join various sections of covering fabric. * Apply expert knowledge of upholstery to build (or repair) upholstered furniture using a variety of hand or power tools * Work with tools and materials such as glue, staples, tacks and nail guns * Assemble and quality check a wide array of products * Train new starters, including inexperienced colleagues when required * Maintain a first-time quality rate * Book off completed work orders via the MRP system * Ensure projects are completed and delivered before the set deadline. * Conduct routine maintenance of work tools and upholstery machineWhat will you bring to the Role? * The ability to cut and upholster in a variety of finishes * Ability to sew would be advantageous * Working to customer specifications * Excellent attention to detail and a "right-first-time" approach to manufacturing * A proactive approach to teamwork and quality * Solid experience in upholsteryFor an immediate interview please call Kelly Busfield (phone number removed)
