Our client is looking for a Product Safety Engineer to join them on a 12 month contract (Inside IR35) in order to ensure safety standards across their maritime projects.


Your duties:


  • Main focal point for Product Safety Assurance
  • Provide Safety advice and guidance across the business as well as external stakeholders
  • Ensure Safety considerations are a fundamental part of the design process
  • Manage and maintain the implementation of Product Safety Management System for equipment design and delivery
  • Resolution of any Product Safety issues
  • Technical reviews and updates
  • Evolve working practices to ensure product safety is managed in a cost effective manner
  • Ensure Product Safety standards are adhered to as per company and customer requirements


Skills, experience and qualifications:


  • Degree qualified within Engineering, Systems or Safety
  • Strong Product Safety Experience within the Defence industry
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable legislation and standards such as HASAWA, COSHH, REACh, BS EN 61508, Def Stan 00-056, Def Stan 00-055
