The Role


As a Brewing Team Leader, you will be responsible for:


  • High and Low-Level Production Management: Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the brewing process to ensure efficient production and high-quality output.
  • Health and Safety: Conduct risk assessments and COSHH assessments, ensuring all health and safety regulations are strictly followed.
  • Team Management and Coaching: Manage and coach direct reports, including brewing operatives, engineers, and keg operatives, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all produced goods conform to internal quality standards and global food safety standards. Participate as a member of the HACCP team.
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Perform RCAs in the event of production failures or near misses to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Brewing Programme Planning: Plan the brewing programme and Clean-in-Place (CIP) schedules to maintain optimal production flow.
  • Fermentation Monitoring: Oversee fermentation processes to ensure product consistency and quality.
  • On-Time Delivery: Ensure the final product is delivered on time, in full, and meets specifications for the packaging lines.
  • Utility and Waste Management: Manage utility and waste material stocks to support sustainable production practices.



The Person


Damm 1876 is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable individual with a strong background in production or manufacturing. You should have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a production or manufacturing plant, coupled with at least 1 year's management experience. While knowledge of the brewing process is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. What matters most is your ability to lead and inspire a team, your problem-solving skills, and your commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.


We are looking for someone who is computer literate and capable of interpreting, interrogating, and presenting data effectively. You should be comfortable making decisions under pressure and have a keen awareness of health and safety requirements at all times. Your cooperative attitude towards all departments will be crucial in achieving our production targets and fostering a collaborative work environment.


Your ability to work a shift pattern and adapt to the dynamic demands of the brewing process, leading by example will be essential. If you are a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering excellence, then Damm 1876 wants to hear from you.
