Join us on our mission to transform the world one student one teacher and one community at a time.The Hardware Engineer will work within the Hardware Team across multiple disciplines including Compliance Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Technical Publications (TPs) with optional work in the Mechanical Engineering team. They will assist Principal Engineer Compliance to meet global compliance and certification standards including EMC safety and radio requirements. Other responsibilities include maintaining compliance documentation and labels managing Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and New Product Introductions (NPIs) within the PLM system and coordinating with external test partners. The role also involves working with external agencies to track technical publications such as Quick Installation Guides (QIGs) Safety Guides (SGs)and Declarations of Conformity (DoCs) ensuring accurate and timely delivery.Base salary: GBP 33800 - 46420 annual bonusJob Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinate certification testing at external laboratories.Review test reports and certification documentation to verify compliance.Manage the periodic renewal of product certifications to ensure ongoing compliance.Maintain accurate compliance documentation and certification records.Maintain compliance status and certification data within Salesforce.Respond to sales team queries regarding compliance requirements and certification status.Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and New Product Introductions (NPIs) through the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.Create and update compliance labels using Adobe IllustratorCollaborate with external agencies to define request and track the progress of technical publications such as Quick Installation Guides (QIGs) Safety Guides (SGs) and Declarations of Conformance (DoCs).Undertake ongoing training and maintain familiarity with all relevant certifications applicable to Prometheans hardware portfolio.Use Jira to track and record work activities.Provide updates in project meetings regarding the current status of compliance NPIs & ECRs and TPs.Update CAD files using Solidworks and PDM (desirable)Support the QA Testing lead with testing on Promethean productsJob Skills and Qualifications:Degree in an Engineering subject preferably with a design or mechanical bias2- 5 years of relevant experienceExcellent attention to detailExcellent communication skillsCAD (desirable)Prometheanishonored to be an equal opportunity workplace.
