This tool is used by technical engineering teams throughout the globe. Your primary responsibilities will include:Lead the Previso Software development teamDefine priorities and product roadmap with internal and external stakeholdersBalance project priorities deadlines and deliverables to achieve long term goalsExpand cloud functionality and support for integration with other software/servicesContinuously improve the performance of the applications core simulation enginePlan and execute short-term tasks through two-week agile sprint cyclesAssist solution architects in the implementation of the product with new clientsHandle inbound client support requests resolving software issues where applicableMonitor detect and resolve software issues using bug tracking softwareBuild testing models in PrevisoDocumentation of features and release notes as requiredAnd other duties as assignedWhat to Bring:Minimum 7 years experience in a software development and/or engineering role along with 3 years leading a product or development teamWeb application and API development experienceUpstream oil and gas domain experience preferably within the gas production and processing fieldMathematical modelling experience i.e. numerical methods (linear programming root-finding methods differentiation and optimization)Scripting language experience such as Python/LUAGood understanding of modern software development practices such as repository management CI/CD pipelines and testingProcedural programming experience using FortranNice to Have:Windows desktop application development using Visual Studio (.NET/WPF)Working with co-located teamIndependent contributorConverting requirements into stories and delivering fully tested solutionsKnowledge and experience with Azure DevOpsAdditional DetailsVisa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.Quorum Diversity Statement:At Quorum we are committed to fosteringcultivatingand preserving a culture of belonging.
