Operations Manager

Operations Manager – Industry Smart Metering Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our Energy/Utilities client in Milton Keynes for an Operations Manager with demonstrable experience managing multi-functional teams including B2B utilities and registration/metering services.Knowledge of a Utilities CIS (strong preference for Junifer), experience of UK power & gas systems and markets, and B2B industry processes is sought.This is contract position for 12 months and will require approx. 6 days onsite in Milton Keynes per month.Suitable candidates will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be effective in the collection and use of data and be able to provide data driven reports and insights to the senior leadership team.We’re also seeking Managers who can demonstrate continuous improvement and new ways of working success stories.Responsibilities * Manage a cross functional team of full time staff to driving performance in achieving;A market leading level of metering services, quality, cost and efficiencySupport the achievement of the overall meter roll out programmeOptimising the onboarding process, maximising the number of meters starting on time with the correctly appointed agents avoiding financial penalties and resulting in great customer serviceProactively manage individual and team performance, development and resourcingCollaborate with customer facing teams, customers and brokers to seek feedback on our service offering to support growth and retention targetsBe involved in multi-disciplinary projects to enhance digital capabilities within operations and manage a diverse team.Support the team in resolving complex issues in each specialised areaEnhance customer journeys; working with the process and performance team, and digital teams, identify and drive data improvements in the use of systems, people & processes and ensure they are embedded into Customer Operations teams & business areas where cross functional activity exists.Provide leadership and expert knowledge on all aspects of B2B energy operations. Upskill and cross train team members.Drive operational compliance, working with the Regulations team to deliver strong compliance, governance and adherence to Supply Licence ConditionsDevelop, implement and track a set of data KPI’s to monitor performance, productivity & quality and provide accurate and timely reports and insight to the Senior Management Team.Leading and managing initiatives and projects in the areas of data.Conduct regular data performance reviews with the teams, working in partnership to continuously improve quality & consistency of data across the operational teamsEnsuring we have slick and effective processes to drive successful outcomes that improve cost to serve that increase productivityEstablish and drive new ways of working that will improve the quality and integrity of dataEffectively scrutinise data highlighting any risk issuesEnsure processes are updated, embed into the teams by ensuring training is providedRepresent ‘Data Integrity’ on all technology projects to ensure quality and standards are maintainedIf you can offer experience in operational management of B2B utility services and want to work with a leading B2B Industrial Energy client - Apply todayWorking with Certain AdvantageWe go the extra mile to find the best people for the job.
