You will lead the Packaging team to deliver daily and weekly objectives, ensuring the department meets its KPIs while consistently satisfying internal and external customer requirements. You will focus on maintaining premium service and product quality at optimal cost, following agreed ways of working.The job title and description for Packaging (FLM) are intended to provide an overview of the role and are not exhaustive. You may be asked, from time to time, to undertake additional or alternative tasks that are reasonable, within your skills, and support the needs of the Company or AB InBev.Duties & ResponsibilitiesTakes ownership for balancing the constant search for new improved ways of working with the sustained implementation of agreed ways of workingEnsures effective communication and co-ordination across a wide geographical departmentAdheres to packaging and production schedules to meet quality and demand needs and to optimise manpower operationEnsures performance as per related daily, weekly and monthly KPI’s and communicates corrective actions to corresponding meetingsContributes to the identification of improvement plans as reviewed during the daily, weekly and monthly meeting processesReports all relevant KPI’s as defined through the MCRS process e.g. plan attainment, losses, OEE, LEF, Productivity, energy, utilities etc.Actively seeks feedback and monitors progress against plansCarries out trouble shooting with the maintenance department to drive root cause correction, and identifies and executes proper process adjustments when requiredParticipates in the daily, weekly and monthly departmental meetings and all other meetings as per MCRSDevelopment of a strong and cohesive teamActively and consistently adopts structured target setting and performance management processesConstantly drives to ensure responsibility and accountability are incorporated and enforced at the lowest level within the day to day operations of the teamEnsures flexibility within the team to meet current and future needs of the businessManages and develops his people and teamWalks the floor, leads by example, positively challenges under-performance, reinforces good behavioursMotivates the team to achieve departmental KPI’s and deliver high standards of performanceManages people on all topics i.e. shift handover meetings, training needs, union relationships, individual performance, one on one sessions, coaching, innovation programmes and team motivationCelebrates successes, and works collaboratively to develop appropriate recognition policies for the siteManages shift rotas, including arranging cover for absent employees on the next shiftTakes ownership for performance management and compliance with disciplinary proceduresManages the tracking of time and attendance for the shiftManagement of Environment, Health & Safety and Quality ProcessesComplies to E&S, quality and HACCP standardsAddresses safety concerns and incidents within the departmentPromotes safe working practicesEnsures compliance with all company and legal obligations and helps to create SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)Takes ownership for adherence to processes within the area e.g. SLA’s (Service Level Agreements) and health and safety performanceManages team compliance to ES, quality and HACCP standardsEnsures the highest levels of compliance to 5S criteria inside their areas of responsibilityControl of cost, budget and resourcesShares accountability in the maintenance and utility cost performance across the departmentImproves energy / utilities consumption performanceMakes sure that reliable consumption data is recorded in the systemPerforms cycle counts and investigates deviations in the inventory levelsAssists with capital projects as requiredEnsure cost optimisation across all areas of the departmentWho We’re Looking ForExperienced leader in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.Skilled in managing industrial relations and delivering operational change.Strong influencer, able to challenge constructively at all levels.Solid knowledge of manufacturing principles, tools, techniques, and project management.Data-driven with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Able to prioritise and manage a variable workload to meet strict KPI targets.Experience with VPO tools and performance improvement techniques.Educated to A-level or equivalent (desirable).Proficient in PC applications and systems.Excellent communication and team-working skills.Motivated, self-driven, and aligned with AB InBev’s ten principles, fostering a high-performance cultureWe recruit for mindset, ambition, cultural fit, and growth opportunities.Why build your career with usWe recruit for mindset, ambition, cultural fit, and growth opportunities.UNIQUE CULTURE We are proud to be part of something bigger than ourselves and are passionate about building upon our company’s long legacy.
