SnagR Software has partnered with Robert Walters Technology to appoint an experienced DevOps Engineer.

As an experienced DevOps Engineer, you will be an integral part of the global technology team. You will also work closely with the development teams whilst overseeing infrastructure management, system performance and monitoring.

The role is based out of the Penkridge ST18 offices, offering a hybrid remote / in-office model, paying a salary range of £50,000 to £80,000 based on experience.

SnagR, originated in the Midlands as a single product tech company with offices in Netherlands, UAE Hong Kong and Australia as well as a global partner network.

RDrive is deployed on some of the most ambitious and technical construction, rail and ship building projects globally. From mega projects like football stadiums, theme parks, suspension bridges, super yachts, rail networks to hospitals as well as residential and commercial construction.

The Role: DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee and maintain our dedicated & cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.

  • System Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance to ensure efficiency and reliability.

  • Security Management: Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data.

  • Cloud Transition: Lead the transition of our infrastructure to the cloud, ensuring a smooth and efficient migration.

  • Database Management: Manage SQL Server backups and performance to ensure data integrity and availability.

  • Automation: Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with development and IT teams to support software deployment, integration, and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure.

  • Strong understanding of system performance monitoring tools.

  • Expertise in security best practices and protocols.

  • Experience in transitioning infrastructure to the cloud.

  • Proficiency with automation tools and scripting languages.

  • Experience managing SQL Server backups and performance.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a partially remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with C#, .NET, and SQL Server.

  • Certifications in Azure or related technologies.
