Trainee Financial Accountant

DescriptionThis is an exciting role which involves a varied workload supporting the team with revenue control activities balance sheet reconciliations and opportunities to work with other stakeholders internally and externally. Its a role with good training and development and will involve an opportunity to study towards the ACCA qualification with then potential further opportunities for career progression in the future. This role is based in Ipswich with a hybrid working arrangement requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.The Role:Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processesSupport the revenue manager with revenue control adherence and ASC 606 related activitiesAssist with certain FCA CASS 5 client money activities and preparation of regulatory returnsSupport preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and FRS101Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variancesLiaise with other onshore and offshore teams as requiredCollaborate with internal and external auditors during statutory and SOX auditsContribute to process improvements within the controllership functionOther ad-hoc project work as requiredQualificationsThe Requirements:AAT Qualified or recent graduate in Finance or AccountingDesire to study towards full ACCA qualificationExcellent attention to detail time management and organisational abilityAbility to analyse complex or high volumes of dataGood communication skills both written and verbalProactive attitude with a willingness to learn and developAbility to work effectively within a team environmentProficiency in MS Office applications particularly ExcelStrong numerical and analytical skillsAudit experience is an advantageEqual Opportunity EmployerAt WTW we believe difference makes us stronger.
