Principal Engineer

Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on an ongoing basis.Base salary range: $134288 $142099 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.About the area Campus Management is responsible for planning designing developing and managing the Universitys campus and property portfolio to support teaching research and campus life. Campus Management delivers a range of University-wide services including strategic planning property management facilities operations major projects and developments sustainability landscape security and transport. Within EPDG the role shares accountability for executing the Universitys Capital Projects strategy including campus infrastructure services and ensures compliance with Capital Projects standards policies and the Universitys Campus Plan.About the opportunityYou will have a significant role as the Universitys strategic lead and custodian on the development and management of the Universitys engineered estate contributing to the overall strategic asset planning and objectives intended to meet the Universitys strategic goals and operational priorities.You will have responsibility for the current and future supply of quality electrical and mechanical services ensuring they are planned and delivered in a timely and economical manner that mitigates business risk complies with all relevant legislation and meets industry best practice.About youProfessionally qualified engineer or eligibility for Membership of the Institute of Engineers.Extensive knowledge and understanding of engineering infrastructure planning and implementation of projects in a city or on a large campus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills including report writing and presentation.Experience in negotiations with Statutory Authorities and Service Providers.Experience in a tertiary education or similar environment (desirable).Note:A Current National Police Clearance is requiredSome after work hours work may be required in the case of critical incidentsHigh Voltage Switching Ticket (Desirable)Position description: Job title Job ref To learn more about this opportunity please contact Antiopi Orkopoulos at Please do not send your resume/application to this email address applications can only be accepted by following the How to apply information below.How to applyPlease apply online via the Apply Now button.
