Property Compliance OfficerWe offer a starting salary of 31386 an initial 28 days Annual Leave with an additional day a year up to 33 days leave PLUS 8 Bank Holidays and a work vehicle.Target Housing is a charity and registered social landlord. Target delivers the highest standard of housing and support to enable vulnerable people to live independently fulfil their potential and contribute to their communities and wider society.Main Purpose of the roleReporting to the Health & Safety Lead responsible for ensuring all properties in Targets portfolio are safe & compliant. To conduct the relevant property inspections using a bespoke inspection report utilising the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) to report any category one or two defaults.Specific Tasks & ResponsibilitiesTo carry out property inspections of the Target property portfolio to ensure they meet HHSRS standards and submit documentation detailing the condition and repairs requiredReport all category I and notifiable category II immediately to the health and safety teamTo complete annual Legionella risk assessments on the Target property portfolioTo complete annual Portable Appliance Testing of all Target supplied appliances across the portfolioTo complete and record annual surveys of known Asbestos Containing Materials and report immediately any defectsReplace interlink smoke/heat detectors when requiredCarry out minor repairs whilst on site to maintain standards and increase the speed of serviceComplete all mandatory trainingUndertake any H&S training requiredReport any Health and Safety concerns to the Health & Safety LeadBuild and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersConstantly review the services processes with the management team to increase productivity and effectiveness in line with continuous improvementAttend all relevant training courses and meetings as requested by the organisationAttend a minimum of Bi-annual One to One meetingsAdhere to all Target Housings policies and proceduresPerform any other duties as requested or required to further the aims of the organisation and as directed by the Management TeamPerson SpecificationUnderstanding of current and changing Health and Safety LegislationA keen eye for detailConscientious and able to use own initiativeCompetent using IT to document monitor and recordExcellent team ethicFlexible and willing to adapt to a frequently changing roleUnderstand the need for continuous improvement within the serviceAwareness and understanding of the people we support and their potential vulnerabilitiesCompetenciesIT skills (Critical)Planning and organising (Critical)Integrity (Critical)Full UK license (Critical)Communication & influencing (Important)Teamwork (Important)Technical (Important)There are many great reasons to join our teamGreat opportunities for career developmentAllocated trainingMileage CompensationAccess Membership to Westfield Health & Lifetime FinancialAbility to apply for the Blue Light cardEmployer Contributory Company pension scheme (4%)A supportive culture where staff feedback is highly valued and regular supervisions with line managers are conductedIf you have any special access requirements or other support needs throughout the application process (including interview) please contact us so that we can let you know how we can support you.Get in touchIf you have any questions about the role please get in touch with CLOSING DATE: 17TH OCTOBER 2025Please note: We reserve the right to close our vacancies early if sufficient applications are received.
