Waites Recruitment Consultancy are seeking a Construction Estimator on a full time basis for a well established Client of ours based in Maidstone.My client has quickly developed a reputation for delivering successful projects in complex health and education sectors.Job Role: EstimatorLocation: Maidstone, KentReporting to: Commercial DirectorPrimary Responsibilities: * Extensive experience in an estimating capacity * Analysis of exact requirements and identify areas that have implication to Logan’s * Provide a detailed ‘take-off’ and Bill of Quantities * Prepare analytical labour, plant, material and sub-contractor breakdown of all rates * Post tender liaison with Clients project team to satisfactorily progress project to award of contract * Accuracy and transparency at both pre and post tender discussions * Experience of estimating software packagesExtensive experience in a similar working role for main contractor. Trade contractor and house building experience only will not be considered.Person Specification: * Knowledge of local supply chain and in depth understanding of current rates * Used to working to tight deadlines * Analytical approach, attention to detail and reasoning abilities• Strong communication, influencing and liaison skills• Knowledge of building, material components, Building Regulations, estimating (including taking off) and health & safety• Knowledge of contractual procedures and responsibilities• Highly numerate with well-developed ability to accurately manipulate numerical information• Confidence and resourceful• Evidence of maintaining a professional, consistent and fair approach• Self-motivated with the ability to work alone and part of a teamExtensive experience in a similar working role for main contractor. Trade contractor and house building experience only will not be considered
