We are seeking a talented Pastry Chef de Partie to join the culinary team at a historic hotel nestled in the picturesque Derbyshire countryside. As the Pastry Chef de Partie, you will be an integral part of the kitchen, responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality desserts and pastries. This role suits someone eager to bring creativity and precision to their dessert offerings.


Ideal Profile:

  • A solid foundation in pastry skills and techniques, with a particular passion for dessert menu design and execution
  • Creativity and flair in the kitchen, with a proven track record of developing innovative pastry dishes
  • Excellent organizational skills to efficiently manage ingredients, tools, and timelines
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, crucial for effective collaboration within the kitchen
  • A keen attention to detail and a commitment to consistently delivering high-quality products
  • An eagerness for self-development, with a desire to learn new techniques and culinary trends


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present exceptional desserts and pastries that align with the restaurant's standards and menu specifications
  • Manage a specific station within the kitchen, ensuring seamless execution and coordination with other sections
  • Train and mentor junior chefs and support staff in pastry techniques and standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the pastry section, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and controlling stock to minimize waste
  • Actively contribute to menu development and the creation of new recipes in collaboration with the Head Chef and culinary team
