Your Role & Key Responsibilities Your Key Tasks:

  • Ensure the readiness of a Sourcing Unit (SU) in order to start the first monitored production at site and work closely with all the SU globally for both Innovation and SC transformation projects.
  • Responsible to understand the technology and its hand over from R&D to ensure smooth transfer of the product from small scale to large scale.
  • Working with SUs globally to help them understanding the technology requirement along with R&D for all new innovations.
  • Monitoring an entire production process as part of launch product monitoring, and ensure regular tests are performed by the manufacturing partner to identify potential problems and malfunctions in the early stages
  • Ensure manufacturing partner is monitoring of all RM &PM QC clearance activity and highlight issues if anticipated as per defined frequencies and inspection criteria agreed with Elida Beauty High attention to details to ensure proper manufacturing, installation and operation of products Communicate and ensure all the Critical Control points (CCPs) are in place at the manufacturing partner for various categories of products
  • Review with Quality team on Line QC inspection and its frequency and review all the data on a frequent basis with the manufacturing partner as part of the monthly reviews
  • To work as an interface between 3PM quality /Production team and Elida beauty QA, Engineering and R&D team.
  • To support investigations related to Quality and Engineering, partnering with R&D and Regional QA lead
  • Review engineering standards, including process controls and quality parameters to be set during various process capability trials
  • Should also actively participate in various commercial start ups and ensure all the checks and balances are made from QA perspective
  • To support QA team on investigation of top consumer complaints as an output of the review the data of Monthly/Quarterly Consumer complaints and work with the regional QA lead and manufacturing partners to provide appropriate solution.
  • To check all the upstream ( Process parameters) and downstream ( FG quality ) and ensure right quality controls are in place.
  • To Lead HACCP and FMEA for all the new products being made in the contract manufacturing. Ensure all the QC checks /rejection are happening as per CRQS of all the products.
  • Single point of contact for Factory dashboard and monitor its KPIs monthly basis.


Stakeholder Management and key interfaces:

There will be project-based interactions with all Elida beauty internal stake holders such as R&D, Engineering, Procurement, Planning etc and External stake holders such as all 3PM QA and Production people along with relevant RM/PM suppliers (if required)

This role will report to Global Manufacturing & Engineering Director.


Skills and Experience:

  • Engineering degree or Bachelor /master in Science -Chemistry /Bio Chemistry/Micro Biology with experience in same domain.
  • Sound understanding of Raw material Chemistry and Packaging technology for Personal care products .
  • Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis and devise suitable preventive action plans ·
  • Strong understanding of Personal care liquids/Aerosol/Soap manufacturing & filling operation . Strong understanding on Quality management system in FMCG factories.
  • Design for Manufacturing (DfM), Design of Experiments (DoE) and World class manufacturing (WCM) such as ISO, GMP, Hygiene compliance etc
  • Experience in working with external and 3rd party suppliers in the development and delivery of technical solutions to complex problems.
