Are you passionate about helping people grow and reach their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated Learning and Development Coordinator to join our team at Tesco, where you'll play a key role in developing and delivering engaging learning experiences for our employees.


About the Role

As a Learning and Development Coordinator, you will provide essential administrative support while working closely with Capability Partners and the Capability Design team. You will contribute to the strategic direction of learning and development within Tesco, managing both the operational and administrative aspects of learning initiatives. This role requires you to be onsite at our Welwyn Garden City office three days a week.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a point of contact for functions to address learning and development needs, engaging with stakeholders and servicing their requirements effectively.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define and deliver on learning and development needs within the business.
  • Identify current and future capability requirements and help shape the Tesco Capability strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • Work with managed learning providers to ensure training delivery meets company needs, including reviewing supplier contracts and evaluating processes.
  • Manage operational and administrative components of learning and development, including putting together professional qualifications offers and focusing on technical training offers.
  • Assist with the design and development of learning interventions tailored to the needs of learners and the business.
  • Ensure the delivery of training programs meets learner needs, partnering with external delivery agents to guarantee training aligns with company requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of Tesco’s L&D strategy and write recommendations and reports for senior management.
  • Support ad hoc projects and administrative tasks that align with the company’s learning priorities.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a Learning and Development, HR, or training administration role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in reviewing supplier contracts and working with managed learning providers.
  • Experience in putting together professional qualifications offers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS).
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with a passion for learning and people development.
