Role: Telehandler Driver
Rates:
We pay the NAECI Blue Book rates and when required; lodge and radius payment
For a NVQ Level 2 Equivalent the rates would be:
Standard: £17.25
OT1: £24.15
OT2: £31.05
HB: £1.89
If you are NVQ Level 3 you would be Grade 5 rates which will differ from these.
Hours/Shifts: 44hrs a week
Work Type: Contract PAYE
Job Specification:
- Safely operating telehandlers to lift, move, and place materials
- Manoeuvring the telehandler in tight spaces and around obstacles.
- Loading and unloading materials
- Ensuring loads are secure and balanced to prevent accidents.
- Performing daily inspections and routine maintenance of the telehandler to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensuring the telehandler is operated within the legal limits and according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Coordinating with site managers, foremen, and other workers to ensure materials are delivered to the correct locations.
- Assisting with other construction activities as needed, such as setting up temporary structures or helping with manual labour tasks.
- Working collaboratively with other site workers and maintaining a professional attitude.
- Supporting team members to achieve project goals and deadlines
