Senior Finance Assistant required to join a friendly and well established not for profit organisation based in Manchester on a fixed term, full-time basis. My client is looking for an experienced Senior Finance Assistant to support their finance team.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Finance Assistant

  • Customer facing support services responsibilities
  • Cashiering transactional activities
  • Providing outstanding customer support to students and staff in relation to financial transactions
  • Provision of financial information, advice and guidance
  • Manage the processes around the organisations largest asset, its bank account, in a controlled disciplined and efficient manner.
  • Responsibility for ensuring the security and control of all cashiering functions, including the accurate posting of income, investigation of errors and reporting and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Processing payments and foreign payments onto SAP

Required skills and experience of the Senior Finance Assistant

  • Strong transactional finance experience
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Previous data inputting experience
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
