Were committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.About the RoleAs IDC Manager youll play a key role in managing a team and project activities within our IDC at Skelmersdale including overseeing onsite contractors.At Essity our IDC (International Distribution Centre) ensures the smooth flow of finished goods from production to customers maintaining stock accuracy operational efficiency and strong coordination with transport and warehousing partners.What You Will DoAs IDC Manager youll be the driving force behind our warehouse operations at Skelmersdale. Youll lead with purpose ensuring smooth safe and efficient performance across every shift.Your key responsibilities will include:Lead strategic warehouse projects from consolidations to continuous improvement initiativesChampion compliance uphold safety quality and environmental standardsDrive operational excellence collaborate with site leaders to embed best practicesOwn stock integrity manage WMS (ideally SAP) to ensure 100% system-to-physical reconciliationCoach and empower your team develop talent manage performance and build succession plansBe the bridge act as the key link between management and warehouse staff balancing business needs with team wellbeingOptimize daily operations oversee pallet flow stock levels and resource usageRespond and resolve lead incident management and disciplinary processes when neededDeliver results monitor KPIs identify savings and push for continuous improvementWork with FLT service provider regards day to day repairs and also continuous improvement reviewsLegal compliance - Act on Loler inspections (Zurich) in a timely mannerTender Management FLT and waste solutionsAudit compliance - Ensure IDC is audit readyWho You AreYoure a confident hands-on people leader with a solid background in warehousing or distributionideally in a finished goods or FMCG environment. You know your way around warehouse management systems (SAP experience is a bonus) and have a sharp eye for stock control and performance metrics.You thrive in fast-paced environments communicate clearly and lead with purpose. Youre not afraid to challenge the norm drive change and bring fresh ideas to the table.
