The Opportunity

Marketing has been identified as a key area to fuel further growth for the business in line with its exit goals. Recently appointing a new CMO to spear head this digital transformation. This is a new role and SEO plays an integral role in the overall growth strategy for the company, driving over 80% of traffic for the site. You would be the subject matter expert for the business, leading the channel both commercially and strategically, whist managing an indirect team of over 50 heads in SEO, Content and Tech.


Responsibilities

  • Lead technical SEO improvements, site structure, and core web vitals compliance.
  • Develop and test content strategies for user engagement and organic visibility.
  • Drive domain authority through link-building, partnerships, and reputation management.
  • Use AI for keyword optimisation, competitive analysis, and process automation.
  • Align SEO with growth goals, fostering a skilled, collaborative SEO team.
  • Set KPIs, manage the SEO budget, and communicate insights to stakeholders.


Your Profile

  • 7+ years leading scalable SEO strategies for content-driven businesses
  • Proven multi-market strategy expertise, driving international growth and local search understanding.
  • Deep knowledge in Technical SEO, Content Strategy, Authority Building, and channel diversification beyond Google.
  • Experience with AI-driven SEO and process automation; strong operational, hands-on skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, blending strategic vision with execution; adept at scaling organic channels.
  • Skilled leader and mentor, fostering innovation and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Commercial acumen, translating SEO metrics into business outcomes, with excellent communication for all stakeholders.
